Our recent Halloween Camp saw 26 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts (plus some very enthusiastic adults and young leaders) take part of loads of different themed activities. The morning was spent roating around a variety of different bases; everything from making toffee apples, carving pumpkins, creating milk bottle ghosts, halloween cards and turning lollypops into spiders! We were then lucky enough to have a special visitor pop into camp; Dave from the Bristol Owl company came along to give a talk bringing with him 3 different owls for the children to see and hear all about. This was followed by a Halloween Party afternoon filled with face painting, fancy dress, glitter tattoos, a halloween photo booth, dancing and party games. The party came to a close with an AMAZING Halloween themed buffet, thanks to Emma White, a mini awards ceremony presnting trophies for the best fancy dress outfits (the decision was very difficult as everyone had made an effort to dress up and get stuck in.. even the adults!). and sparklers outside.
After bidding farewell to the Beavers, Scouts then played some team games and the evening drew to a close with a Halloween movie and hot chocolate.
The following day Cubs and Scouts took part in a range of games including pining pants onto a skeleton and smell, taste, touch mystery box game. Lunch of hot dogs and chips was served before playing parachute games before camp to a close.
A really action packed, fun filled camp.. thoroughly enjoyed by who. In fact we aren't sure who had more fun, the adults or the kids!! A massive thank you to all the Young Leaders, Leaders and Adults who helped make the camp possible!
