Puzzlewood

50 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Young Leaders, Leaders and adults travelled to Wales to visit Puzzlewood – a magical woodland in the Forest of Dean. The weather, for a change was kind to us and saw children of all ages hunting for hidden objects in the forest to gain team points looking for everything from secret doors, hidden caves, stepping stones shaped like dinosaur feet and bridges. Although we did not spot an celebrities we were all fascinated to learn about the range of TV Shows and Films that were shot at Puzzlwood – from Robin Hood to Merlin, Doctor Who to Jack and the Giant Slayer. With a picnic lunch, an explore in the maze, a look at the animals, some group photos and time for a run around the adventure playground all were thoroughly worn out by the end of the day!
